Colors of the Fall

Tennessee in the Fall is indescribable. More specifically, Radner lake in the fall is indescribable. Not only were the leaves changing, but the weather was perfect. The lake was pretty busy today. There were some interesting people there that made me think...
1. The young husband and wife with their newborn (Which made me think of Tessa and Dustin).
2. The two girls jabbering on and on about what this and that boy did (Which made me think of high school and college and friends in general).
3. And then of course there was the old, slow couple that has probably been married for 50 years. They were probably my favorite.

Beautiful!

Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood came to the Bridgestone Arena...and even though it was a school night...3 elementary teachers decided to go. I must say...Carrie Underwood is quite a performer. The show started out with a band called Sons of Sylvia...they were great, but my attention was a little distracted by the lead performers hair...I'm not exactly sure how he did it, but he made his hair look like Snooki...only he has shorter hair and he's not a guido. The whole band also has this whole "Twilight" look going for them, so this naturally brought the attention of all the ladies in the crowd. You think I'm joking...but seriously...take a look...
Billy Currington opened before Carrie. Wow...can we say gorgeous? He totally has a Tim Riggins look going on...I love it. Oh yeah, and he can sing, too.
And FINALLY, we came to Carrie Underwood. What a great performer!
 My friends are fun.

Overall GREAT night! And the next day at school wasn't even miserable!

Race for the Cure

My beautiful mother decided to travel to Nashville to walk in the 5k Race for the Cure race. Mom found out about her breast cancer 2 years ago this Christmas. She is doing great now and we had a wonderful time walking. It was perfect weather and over 12,000 people turned out for the event.
My sister, Mandy, and her 3 year old daughter, Ryann, decided to come walk with us. Well, Ryann decided that she wanted to ride her mommy's shoulders instead of walking...but it's the effort that counts.
Go Pink!

Nashville Science Center

The perks of being a teacher...FREE entrance to the Science Center.
What do teachers do on Friday nights? We go to the Adventure Science Center with 400 other teachers! Our adventure to the science center was a fun experience. We watched a 3rd grade video in the planetarium, climbed to the top of the life-size McDonalds looking playground, and most importantly, we were able to engage in great conversation while looking at the Nashville skyline.
Maybe dentistry was our calling...
It is a blessing to work with people I LOVE to be around!

My future husband visited Nashville!

Well, last weekend Tim Tebow made the trip from Denver, CO to Nashville, TN. He trained in Nashville before the NFL draft and he just couldn't get enough of it. My friend, Tiff, and I got the chance to go see the Tennessee Titans and the Denver Broncos play at LP field.
Tim Tebow!!

The Bronco's ended up BARELY beating the Titans...I wasn't too disappointed with this defeat.
